Club de Campo La Zagaleta - Los Barrancos Benahavís

The course is a must to see and play if you are lucky enough to be invited. Many of the holes offer the ultimate challenge with long carries over protected barrancos to large, undulating but far greens where the great care has been taken to provide generous greens surrounds. The varied challenges from the tees provide the player with many options illustrating the risk and reward design strategy perfectly. Bunkering is not stereotypical resort style as the terrain lends itself in many ways to a more traditional bunker form and these too have been strategically placed. Shaping also has been carefully conceived so to marry the course within its mountainous backdrop yet providing rolling fairways and a payable and maintainable golf course.

How to get there: form the coast, take the Ronda road which begins at San Pedro de Alcántara and the course is about 10 kilometres from the coast.
